Elopement. The term has changed SO MUCH in the last 5 years and I am here for it. It went from a couple getting hitched in Las Vegas by an Elvis impersonator to now some of the most epic adventures in beautiful locations around the world. Norma & Jorge’s June elopement at Round Hill Pines was no different.

The day started off when I met Norma and Jorge at their Airbnb in South Lake Tahoe. Together they & their family welcomed me in with a mimosa and to capture them getting ready. It was so special to be brought into their intimate family and share in all the bubbly exciting moments leading up to their elopement (or micro-wedding). They had Spanish music playing throughout the house and everyone had big smiles on their faces as they prepared for the best day ever.

Once everyone got ready, we carpooled down to Round Hill Pines Resort. We all headed towards the beach where a stunning ceremony arch was set up in the golden sand and the strikingly blue Lake Tahoe glistened behind it. Their entire ceremony was done in Spanish and it truly was so special. Even though I don’t speak Spanish, you could just feel the love exuding with every sentence spoken. Some family members got up to speak during their ceremony and everyone shed happy tears and it honestly was the most touching ceremony I’ve gotten to witness.

After they officially said “I do” we got to take photos with the whole fam and I got to steal N & J away for some couple’s portraits on the beach & dock they have there! We laughed and danced and soaked up all those freshly married vibes. Plus, there was a handful of beach-goers at Round Hill Pines who showered N & J with congrats and cheered us on as we took their photos. Over all it was such a special moment to be a part of and I’m so glad I got to share in this moment with these two!
