Sarah and Dakota had the perfectly intimate backyard wedding in Gardnerville, Nevada this past July. Sarah grew up in Gardnerville and always wanted to get married in her hometown, so when a family friend said she could get married in their cozy backyard, of course, she said yes!! After driving down a long dirt road, you end up at this perfect little property nestled in the heart of Gardnerville. With a creek running through it, an open field with mountain views and a classic red barn — this truly was such a perfect venue for Sarah & Dakota’s wedding day. And with the help from the amazing Emily, of Jálie Weddings, they managed to create the perfect little oasis in this backyard.
So surrounded by their closest family and friends, these two said “I do” on a hot July summer day and it was everythinggggggg. There was a sweet little creek that trickled behind them and the birds sang as they shared their vows and it truly was such a magical ceremony. Sarah also made her own bouquet from hand-dyed wooden flowers and it honestly was a work of art.
Their reception included two things Sarah and Dakota love: Tacos and margs. And hot damn were they delicious y’all. Their wedding was catered by a local Mexican restaurant, Jalepeños, and they had their bartenders whipping up some delicious margaritas. There was dancing under the twinkle lights and Sierra Nevada mountains looked down upon us in the background. It truly was the perfect backyard wedding in Gardnerville, Nevada.
