Before you read any further, I have to tell you how much I LOVED Jenna + Josh’s destination wedding! Okay, onto the highlights of their welcome party in Cabo.
Highlights from J + J Destination Wedding Welcome Party in Cabo
After arriving in Cabo a day before the rehearsal dinner — and meeting up with my girl Whitney from Wild Love and Wanderlust, the photographer that I was second shooting for, I settled into the cozy embrace of Hotel 624, situated in the vibrant heart of downtown Los Cabos. I was surrounded by delectable dining options — YOU KNOW I AM A FOODIE, and I was in heaven.
And, I was within walking distance of the beach. It was the perfect base for us to soak in the sun and relax before a busy wedding weekend.
A Beachside Morning + An All-White Party
The next day, we wandered down the street to a hole-in-the-wall breakfast place and got some delicious and authentic food. With burritos in hand, popped down to the beach to soak up the sun and the sea.
It was a tranquil prelude to the bustling day that awaited us.
As the sunset began, we found ourselves at Villa La Valencia, Jenna and Josh’s all-inclusive resort nestled in the enchanting tourist corridor between San Jose Cabo and Cabo San Lucas. Y’all let me tell you, this place was absolutely stunning.
A. FUCKING. DREAM.
The resort exuded a perfect beach getaway ambiance, complete with friendly staff and breathtaking views of the ocean.
A Welcome Party in Cabo with a Yummy Meal
Our cameras eagerly captured every detail of the Mexican soirée, from the mouthwatering appetizers to the meticulously groomed sand.
BRB while I literally take note for my potential future destination wedding 😉
And as if things couldn’t get any better, there was a shoe valet who ensured guests’ comfort as they kicked off their shoes to sink their toes into the soft sand. And bringing it all together was a classic Mexican Mariachi Band, which just set the tone including a fruity berry margarita.
Looking Back on this Mexico Party
Inspired by the magical sunset, we whisked Jenna and Josh away for a brief portrait session on the beach. These moments of intentional alone time allowed them to soak up all the feels and get even more excited for their big day!
Not to mention that they were amidst the MOST stunning backdrop.
I mean, we are talking about crashing waves and a sky ablaze with hues of purple and pink.
Lovvvvveeeeee.
Once we finished those pics, with headed back to the party, and a party it was!
With 110 people joining them in Mexico for their wedding, (SEE! I have been trying to tell ya that destination weddings don’t have to be tiny!) the welcome party became an ideal opportunity for everyone to mingle, form connections and share in the couple’s excitement.
It was truly a testament to the power of love and the ability of celebrations to bring people together.
We were so excited for the wedding day itself. But for now, we marveled at the success of the evening, grateful for the chance to be a part of such a joyous celebration
