I had the absolute pleasure of second shooting a stunning wedding at Palisades Tahoe’s PlumpJack Inn alongside my talented friend, Brittany Sierra Photography. The couple’s big day took place at the end of May—aka prime time for that unpredictable Tahoe weather. And let me tell ya, it delivered. Strong winds? Check. A storm rolling in? Oh, for sure. But somehow, the universe was on their side, and the storm held off just long enough for them to say their vows with the breathtaking mountains as their backdrop.

The outdoor ceremony at PlumpJack Inn was nothing short of magical. The wind added this incredible movement to the moment, making everything feel so alive and cinematic. You could just feel the love between these two, standing there, promising forever while the clouds swirled around the peaks in the distance. It was one of those moments that reminded me why I adore capturing weddings in Tahoe—nature always shows up in the most dramatic, unforgettable way.
Once the “I dos” were sealed with a kiss, it was time to party! And let me tell you—this group did NOT disappoint. The couple’s friends brought next-level energy to the dance floor, and the speeches? Straight-up tearjerkers. Laughter, happy tears, and all the love—it was the perfect blend of heartfelt and hype.
PlumpJack Inn is such a gem of a venue. It’s one of five wedding spots nestled in Palisades Tahoe, and it truly offers that perfect mix of rustic charm and cozy elegance. The way it sits right in the valley, surrounded by towering peaks, makes every moment feel so intimate and special. Whether you’re dreaming of an outdoor ceremony with mountain views or a warm, inviting space for dinner and dancing, this venue seriously has it all.
