Let me set the scene: a buttery yellow dress against the most ridiculous greens and blues you’ve ever seen, overcast skies with not a drop of rain, and — the part locals couldn’t believe — no wind. If you know the Cliffs of Moher in Ireland, you know that basically never happens. It was epic.
Picture it as the week of your wedding. You’re already in Ireland, your people are arriving in a few days, and we slip away for an hour to make photos like these — just the two of you, the cliffs, that light. Or picture there’s no wedding here at all. You just love each other and you’ve always wanted to stand on the edge of somewhere this beautiful, so you brought me along to document it.

What makes a Cliffs of Moher engagement different
Here’s something most people don’t know. This wasn’t the main Cliffs of Moher viewing area where you pay to get in. We found a local farmer whose property backs right up to the cliffs — and it was so worth it. You won’t see this exact view when you Google the cliffs, because it’s the back side of those same cliffs. Still completely stunning, just yours and not the postcard everyone else has.
And here’s my favorite part: I have a connection to that spot now. If you book me for your Ireland wedding, elopement, or engagement, I’ll happily make the introduction so you get access to this same private location.
Planning your own Cliffs of Moher engagement (or wedding, or elopement)

A little context on why we went the private route: the part of the property we used backs right up to a section of the official cliff trail that’s currently closed and gated off. That closure is actually why we skipped the main national park entrance and found the farmer’s land instead. If you’re planning your own trip, do not go around the barricades on that closed section — the Irish government will arrest people who do, and we watched it happen. Stay on the open, legal sections unless you’ve arranged private access through a property owner.
That section is supposed to reopen at some point, so if you’re traveling out there, double-check before you go. You can see current access info and book admission for regular visits over on the official Cliffs of Moher site: https://www.cliffsofmoher.ie/en/
Cliffs of Moher, or honestly anywhere you want me
Ireland has my whole heart, but here’s the bigger thing: I’ll travel anywhere to document your love. Anywhere. If you’re dreaming of a destination session, a great first move is to check out my homepage and reach out to see if I already have travel dates near your dream spot — booking around those means you can skip travel fees entirely. And if your location is cool enough? I might just wave them anyway.
