Hi, I’m Dani, a Lake Tahoe and Reno wedding photographer, and I have a slightly unhinged relationship with a good wedding date. A date where the numbers line up just right? It’s itchy-scratchy in the best way. It just makes my brain feel GOOD.
So if you’re staring at a 2027 calendar trying to pick THE day, let me hand you my running list of the dates I think are going to go fast. Fair warning: the good ones book up early (here’s how far in advance to book your photographer), so if one of these speaks to your soul, don’t sit on it.

Matching dates (the real deal)
These are the true matches where the numbers actually line up, and couples LOVE them. They’re easy to remember, your anniversary will never sneak up on you, and they just look pretty on a save-the-date.
- 2.26.27 (Friday)
- 2.27.27 (Saturday)
- 3.26.27 (Friday)
- 3.27.27 (Saturday)
- 6.26.27 (Saturday)
- 6.27.27 (Sunday)
- 8.26.27 (Thursday)
- 8.27.27 (Friday)
- 11.26.27 (Friday) & 11.27.27 (Saturday) — cute, BUT this is Thanksgiving weekend, so weigh your travel-weary guests before you commit
Matching-ish dates (not a true match, but the 7s do something to my brain)
Okay these aren’t technically matches, but the repeating 7s scratch the same itch and I will not be talked out of it.
- 2.7.27 (Sunday)
- 5.7.27 (Friday) — and PS, 5.8.27 is a Saturday AND it’s my birthday, so if you want to get hitched on my birthday, the date’s right there and I’m just saying
- 8.7.27 (Saturday)
Angel number math dates (for my numerology girlies)
This is where it gets fun. These dates do a little addition and land you somewhere magic.
- 9.9.27 — the 2+7 = 9, so the whole thing is 9s (This one’s a Thursday, so it’s a weekday wedding, but the magic might be worth it)
- 9.18.27 (Saturday) — 1+8 = 9 AND the 2+7 = 9
- 9.25.27 (Saturday) — 2+5 = 7, so it loops right back into the 7s club above. I’ve already had a few people eyeing this weekend, which tells me it’s a good one. Still open on my end, so if it’s yours, let’s talk.
Always-popular (the reliable classics)
Even without number magic, some windows are perennial for a reason. Great weather, great vibes, and everyone’s already in wedding mode:
- The last two weekends of May & the first two of June — always, every year
- All of September & the first two-to-three weekends of October — peak season, books earliest
Dark horses (my “calling it now” picks)
No math, just vibes and a gut feeling. Screenshot this so you can tell people I called it:
- 7.17.27 (Saturday) — all the 7s, and pretty much any July date that starts and ends in a 7 is going to hit
- 10.9.27 (Saturday) — I can’t explain it, it’s just a vibe, it’s going to be popular
- 4.24.27 (Saturday) — I’m predicting some very chic April weddings next year, and this is the one
Found your date?
If one of these jumped out and now you can’t unsee it, don’t wait around, because the couples who want these dates are already looking. Check out the blog & portfolio to scope my work, and when you’re ready, inquire and let’s get your date on the books before someone else claims it.
AND if you’re still narrowing it down — I’ve also got a whole post on how to choose a wedding date if you want help thinking it through: How to Choose the Perfect Wedding Date
