Every now and then, we stumble upon a gift idea that turns out to be an absolute gem. That’s exactly what happened when Megan decided to gift her brother, Robbie and his girlfriend Caitlyn, a Truckee River Couples Session for Christmas.

The Perfect Location:
The session took place at Robbie’s family cabin, nestled by the Truckee River, just outside Tahoe City. This area has been on my list of places I have wanted to capture for a HOT MINUTE. And, finally, the opportunity had arrived!
The river’s calm waters mirrored the lush, green trees, creating a breathtaking reflection that added a touch of magic to the photographs. Despite it being fairly cold for April, the atmosphere was warm and serene.

The absence of wind allowed the river to flow peacefully, transforming it into a glass-like surface that perfectly captured the surrounding scenery.
An Unforgettable Experience at this Couple’s Session in Truckee
Accompanied by their two Siberian Huskies, Suki and Zephyr, Robbie and Caitlyn immersed themselves in the session. Laughter filled the air as they posed, danced, and simply enjoyed each other’s company. Robbie even admitted that the experience surpassed his expectations, highlighting how enjoyable and fun the session turned out to be.
This is a compliment that I LIVE FOR. Seriously. I love when my girlies compliment me, but when their reluctant hunnies do??? Chefs kiss!!
Not only was this a photo session to celebrate their love, but it marked a significant milestone for both Robbie and Caitlyn. Robbie was on the verge of completing his medical degree and preparing for his residency, while Caitlyn had just finished her Ph.D.
Their hard work and dedication were evident, and the session provided a much-needed break before they embarked on the next chapter of their lives.
Megan’s thoughtful gift brought everyone together, and the session provided an opportunity for Caitlyn “to get Robbie to take pro photos with me” off her bucket list.
