Johne and Shawntay’s Autumn Wedding at Wolf Run Golf Club in Reno, Nevada was super classy! I mean, talk about GORG! Almost a whole year later, I still feel so honored that I got to be a part of their day!
When I went full-time, the world was quite literally and metaphorically ON FIRE. I never could have imagined following my dreams to be a full-blown wedding photographer, would be as incredible as it has been! Especially when there were so many unknowns at the time.
The 2021 wedding season was crazy, but Johne and Shantay’s Autumn Wedding at Wolf Run Golf Club was the perfect way to finish my first full-time season!

Johne and Shawntay’s Wedding Journey
Johne and Shawntay are some of the sweetest people I have ever met! They have been dating for 12 years, and 5 of those they have spent engaged!
When people have been together for so long it’s just amazing to see how they’ve become irreplaceable in each other’s lives and to watch them finally embark on their next chapter is something that I will never get over.
Not only are they rad humans, but they also have two cutie dogs! The best part? They all go adventuring together!
Getting to be a part of their day really was magical! Even when I lost my childhood dog, these two got me a sweet present to express their condolences. Like, are you kidding me?! Are they not just the purest?!
Saying “I-Do” at Reno’s Wolf Run Golf Club
Johne and Shawntay started the day with THE MOST precious details. They chose the best colors to transition from summer in their classic fall wedding at this Reno golf course!
First, Johne made, yes you heard me right MADE, the beautiful arch for their ceremony. It made such an amazing, personal detail to add to their special day. Second, Shawntay loves Disney and made sure to show it in the small things. I mean, just look at their ring box and cake toppers, so precious!
I was obsessed, to say the least.
Then it was time to take the most beautiful photos at Sunset on the golf course. Shawntay’s dress was absolutely stunning and fit her PERFECT, her veil was such an amazing touch but I might be biased because veil photos are my favorites.
First Comes Love, Then Comes Dancin’ Our Booties Off at the Wolf Run Golf Club
After the dreamy ceremony, it was time to PAR-TAY! Let me tell you, Johne and Shawntay did not disappoint! Their first dance was so epic and a great homage to Dirty Dancing with that lift!
So freaking fun! You bet I stayed until the end dancing my booty off.
It is my favorite thing when couples include movement into their dances because it brings so much variety to the photos, if you’re thinking about it I would definitely recommend choreographing something special!
All in all, this Autumn Wedding at Wolf Run Golf was simply incredible, and I’m so grateful I got to be part of it!
