With all the hustle and bustle of city life, it’s so necessary to take a moment to slow down and enjoy the views of South Lake Tahoe in winter.  It, being a year of 30 feet of snow, did not stop Drew and Mike from having a loving and cozy South Lake Tahoe winter engagement session.

Drew and Mike’s Rom-Com Type of Love

In an age of dating app culture, Drew and Mike’s love sparked like a nostalgic 90’s rom-com!

Mike was a regular at the bar Drew worked at and she played the long game. Drew swears Mike stalked her but Mike swears Drew gave him her work schedule (haha!). Mike was in the friend zone for a long time before Drew took a chance on him. Fast forward to the classic rom-com tropes and here they are, engaged!!

They will live the rest of their lives together and that is so special to meet in person like a rom-com story.

A Cozy and Snowy South Lake Tahoe Winter Engagement

Now, most of the sessions I shoot are loud and fast, and this time it was special to share a more soft, gentle, and intimate engagement session.

The energy levels Drew and Mike brought were a perfect match! The long, cozy kind of vibes are totally them so we paired that with the right tunes.

We were rockin’ snow at the beach in Zephyr Cove, which also has lakeside, classic granite rocks, and a beautiful forest–the best of the best. They popped champagne because what’s an engagement shoot without that?!

Since Mike is in the military, they move a lot. They sadly are moving out of the area so Drew and Mike wanted to preserve fantastic memories in one of their (and mine!) favorite places in the world! It’s so special to document the places you find that have a strong impact.

Their entire winter engagement created beautiful magic!
