Spoiler Alert. But, this Fireside Lodge Engagement session just so happened to be one of the best shoots ever of like my entire career.
Ladies and Gentlemen, let me introduce you to Olivia and Eric. This dynamic duo just so happened to steal the damn show!
A Pandemic, A Move, and A Love Story
Seven years ago, Olivia’s family purchased the enchanting Fireside Lodge in South Lake Tahoe.
Nestled in the heart of the picturesque Tahoe, this cute log cabin, built in the fifties, became the canvas for these two’s love story.
As the pandemic swept across the globe, Eric made a move that changed the course of his life.
From Trinidad to Lake Tahoe, working in the Park system, he found himself at Fireside Lodge. Little did he know, this move would lead to a love story with Olivia, the woman who became his reason to stay in the area.
Reminiscing on this Fireside Lodge Engagement Session
With Olivia and Eric in front of my lens, we started with one goal: CAPTURING THEIR LOVE STORY AUTHENTICALLY.
Starting at Fireside Lodge, we participated in the family-run, small local charm. Basically it was giving Hallmark Movie IRL and I’m so here for it!
Leo, their adorable pup, joined the adventure. I accidentally called him Jazz a few times (I mean he looks like the long lost twin of Maddie & Chris’ pup!), butttt he defs added an extra layer of joy to the shoot.
Bikes, Meadows, and Tahoe Vibes
After chillin a the lodge, we took the bikes on a scenic path that runs behind it. For Olivia & Eric, It wasn’t just about capturing them in nature—it was about documenting the love that thrived in the place where their story began.
Transitioning to Zephyr Cove
For the second half of the shoot, we headed to Zephyr Cove.
We basked in the joy of three things.
Beach Photos.
Crisp Beers.
Soul Tunes of Leon Bridges.
Despite the cooler October weather and the bone-chilling waters of Lake Tahoe, O & E decided to send it anyway and get in the water!
I am telling you, the vibes were nothing short of immaculate, showcasing their love in its purest form.
This wasn’t just a photoshoot—it was an experience.
I might even go as far as calling it a journey into the hearts of Olivia and Eric.
