Recapping this Grandlibakken Tahoe Destination Wedding

The Morning Prep

The day started early.

At 11:30, we were already capturing the magic as Bailee and her bridesmaids got ready at the Grandlibakken Hotel in Tahoe City.

Clare, my second shooter, was there to assist, making sure that we didn’t miss a single detail. 

The atmosphere was filled with joy as Bailee, the first of the sisters to tie the knot, shared a beautiful moment with her mom while getting into her wedding dress.

Ceremony at Saint Francis of Assisi

From there, the journey continued to Incline Village, where the couple exchanged vows at the stunning Saint Francis of Assisi Catholic Church.

The ceremony, presided over by the charismatic Father Bill, was surprisingly brief for a Catholic service, lasting only 45 minutes.

The scenic view of the lake from the church added a special touch to the occasion.

After the ceremony, we made our way to Sky Landia for photos.

The setting provided a perfect backdrop for capturing the couple, their wedding party, and family moments. The golden light filtering through the trees created a magical atmosphere, making it a memorable stop between the ceremony and the reception.

Reception at Grandlibakken:

Grandlibakkem, a venue I had never been to, was a hidden gem.

The outdoor lawn space, surrounded by trees with filtered sunlight, created a dreamy ambiance. The reception, DJ’d by the talented Logan Steele, unfolded smoothly.

Dinner was a highlight, with a seafood pasta that left everyone raving. The speeches, parent dances, and cake-cutting were heartwarming moments that added to the celebration.

As their Grandlibakken Tahoe Destination Wedding progressed, it became obvious that Bailee and Brandon’s wedding was not just an event but a celebration of love, family, and surprises. 

Although I could only stay for a glimpse of the reception due to the day’s early start, the joy and magic captured in those moments were enough to tell the story of a match made in heaven.

It was a privilege to witness and capture the love that filled the air on their beautiful, intentional, and sweet wedding day. Cheers to Bailee and Brandon—a couple whose journey is just as extraordinary as the day they said, “I do.”
