This Magical Lake Tahoe Wedding was one for the books, and you are going to have to pick your jaw off the floor by the end of it.

This Lake Tahoe wedding kicked off my weddings for 2022, and I couldn’t have been happier about it!

They wanted a snowy winter wedding and that is exactly what they got! Tahoe saw record-breaking snowfall in December 2021, which went into early 2022. Because there was SOOO much snow on their wedding day, they actually moved their ceremony inside.

JUST WAIT UNTIL YOU SEE THESE PICTURES!

Wanna check out their first session with me?! You can read about it HERE. Don’t you think that the snow was the most perfect throwback?!

Winter Tale of a Magical Lake Tahoe Wedding

A Beautiful Day for a Winter Wedding in Lake Tahoe

Regardless of the storms, K+A’s day had the best weather for their winter Lake Tahoe wedding.

They started their day by getting ready with their friends and family in separate suites. Just by these photos, you can tell how giddy and excited they were to finally say “I do”.

Kelsey had the cutest details with her bridesmaids while they got ready. They popped some bubbly while all looking so chic in their matching silk pajamas.

She changed into a beautiful ball gown with ornate lace details that honestly, truly made her look like a princess.

Ali opted to get an amazing suit from Indochino, one of my favorite brands to recommend to grooms. I loved the lining of his custom suit and the color matched Kelsey’s iconic red hair.

These two were just so insanely cool.

Winter Wedding Couple Portraits in Lake Tahoe

Something fun about Kelsey and Ali’s first look is that they had one with their parents. I LOVED every moment of it because it was so sweet and just added such a special memory to your day.

After K & A shared their first look on a beautiful golden sand beach where we took a couple of portraits. Their colors against the bright blue of Tahoe were insanely beautiful, straight out of a movie scene.

Once we wrapped up with photos, while we were waiting for the best man to pick us up Ali pulled out dinosaur nuggets in his pocket which made for the best candid pictures.

Please remember to eat on your wedding day even if it is just dino-nuggies!

Ceremony and Reception for a Winter Wedding

When we got back up the mountain we knocked out the family and the bridal party photos before the ceremony. We QUICKLY finished up and then headed inside because it was freezing!

Their ceremony went off without a hitch and was beautiful! It was my first time working with Logan Lisle Productions, a local videographer. He splits his time between Tahoe and San Diego. His footage was amazing. Grateful I get to work with talented people at every wedding.

When the ceremony was over they had the best cocktail hour where they had an amazing grilled cheese and tomato soup bar, talk about straight winter vibes. Seriously though if you’re getting married in Winter consider this!

We also had a station set up to take photos of all the guests and we were able to get so many. I love it when guests don’t shy away from having their pictures taken.

Afterward, the reception followed. Where the best man gave an incredible speech along with their dads, maid of honor, and the groom’s sister.

During the reception, there was a big game for the 49ers and because that’s where Kelsey’s whole family is from the score was relayed to the guests multiple times throughout, it was amazing.

All in all Kelsey and Ali’s wedding day was beautiful, heartfelt, and so much fun! I’m so glad I got to be there to celebrate with them and capture such a happy day. Thank you Ali and Kelsey for being such incredible clients!
