After having an amazing time with Haleigh and Scott for their engagement session, I was so hyped for their spring wedding at Tannenbaum Events in April of 2022.
And no, it’s not a joke…that’s just how cool they are!
Dive into this spring wedding because you will be leaving just as OBSESSED as me.
What’s Not to Love About Tannenbaum Events?
I love weddings at Tannenbaum Events because they have everything all on site! The venue is actually owned by Roundabout Catering & Events and they made sure the catering there has its own space.
Tannenbaum also has separate guys and girls get ready area, reception space, a bar, and great areas for photos! They truly have everything you need.
Getting Ready for a Spring Wedding at Tannenbaum Events
When we got up to the venue, I instantly noticed that every detail was so rad! I started taking photos of Haleigh getting ready. They decided on a smaller wedding so the vibes were so chill and so intimate in the most special way.
Haleigh and I were so in love with her wedding dress! When picking THE dress, she ended up going in a completely different direction than what she thought she wanted, and it totally worked out for her. And the best part of the dress she ended up picking? IT HAS POCKETS!
PRO TIP: I recommend trying on all shapes, colors, and sizes of wedding dresses when going dress shopping. You never know what you may find!
While Scott was getting ready, I peeped him writing his vows so I had to get that special moment on camera!

After they were all ready, Haleigh and I got set up for a first look with her dad! Her dad getting the first look was so special and so sweet. It’s something I want to do with my dad one day.
And yes, there were some happy tears on my face.
Following the father-daughter first look, H & S had theirs. Scotty was so happy to see Haleigh for the first time in her dress–he loved the dress too! Of course, they were cracking jokes the whole time bc that’s who they are.
Portraits with the Couple
We still had a little time after Haleigh and Scott’s first look and vows. Naturally, we popped across the street and into the forest. There was still snow and Scott was so excited because there was still snow up on the mountain for their wedding day! I mean who wouldn’t love snow in their photos?!
It was so great that we knocked out their couple photos at this time because it gave them the rest of the day to celebrate without worrying about having to take time for photos later.
Also because Tannenbaum faces east, the best time for golden hour is earlier in the day. Keep this in mind because you lose the physical sun so fast here since it tucks behind the mountains.
Ceremony and Reception
Haleigh and Scott’s ceremony was so heartfelt and so sweet. It was just so them! For their first kiss, it was just a little quick one. Then Scott whispers in Haleigh’s ear “do you want to do the dip?”
Haleigh said, “HELL YEAH!” It was an epic first kiss.
They had a quaint little hype crew where Haleigh included her mom in the bridal party. It’s such a unique twist and something I haven’t seen a lot of.
Your mom can be more than just the mother of the bride on your special day. If your mom is your friend or you don’t have enough for even bridesmaids, include her!
You won’t regret it.
The rest of the day was full of great toasts, laughter, fun dance moves, and happy tears for Haleigh and Scott!
One of the funniest parts of the night, was mid-cake cut their fancy knife set broke in their hands. The surprised look on Scotty’s face is forever one of my favorite photos I’ve ever taken!!
Private Couple’s Dance
Did I mention how obsessed I am with these two?
Scott didn’t want their first time alone as a married couple together to be during the car ride to the hotel so they chose to stay for a private last dance.
While they said goodbye to their loved ones, we hung back while the cleanup happened. They had their private last dance to Falling in Love at a Coffee Shop by Landon Pigg. It was so special and I’m happy to be a part of that!
Even if you don’t want it photographed, it’s a nice way to end your night. Especially if you aren’t having a flashy getaway or afterparty. A private dance with your partner is just great to have alone time on your wedding day.
It’s so unique and special!
