This Zephyr Cove Proposal was an absolute whirlwind of emotions as I had the incredible opportunity to capture Kelsi’s heart-stopping proposal to her now-fiancée, Heather.

Let me tell you, the adrenaline rush was real, and it’s a story worth sharing.

The Setup: Picture-Perfect Garden Vibes

A couple of months ago, Kelsi reached out to me for help in planning an epic proposal for Heather during their second-anniversary trip.

Together, we designed a stunning pink-themed garden and wildflower setup that popped against the fall vibes by the lake.

The stage was set for a moment that would be etched in their memories forever.

The Panic Moment: Camera Malfunction Crisis

Everything was going smoothly until that heart-stopping moment when my camera decided to play dead right as Kelsi was about to pop the question.

Panic mode engaged!

Lesson learned: always, always ask your photographer if they have a backup camera body, even for proposal shoots. My DSLR came to the rescue, though it’s not my usual go-to. Buttons were different, but time was of the essence, and I managed to salvage the proposal just in the nick of time.

The Dreamy Zephyr Cove Proposal

After the adrenaline-fueled camera switch, the rest of the shoot was pure magic.

We had the entire Zephyr Cove to ourselves, creating intimate moments in the meadow and on private beaches. Kelsi and Heather radiated love, making the whole experience incredibly special.

To cap off the shoot, we celebrated with a champagne pop, coincidentally synchronized with Taylor Swift’s “Champagne Problems.”

Bubbles filled the air as Heather soaked in the reality of being a fiancée. It was so fun to witness their excitement and nerves, knowing that I played a part in capturing their journey.

As for Kelsi and Heather, I am beyond honored to have been a part of their special moment. Here’s to hoping they choose me to photograph their wedding down the line.

Until then, I wish them a fantastic rest of their anniversary trip, filled with love, laughter, and the promise of a beautiful future together.
